Two Sisters Reunited By Chance Also Reunites with Father After 24 Years

Two women met on Facebook and discovered they were sisters while making efforts to search for their long-lost dad. Finally, they have reunited with him after 24 years. This is great as this is coming just in time for Christmas.

Lisa McLean, 33 and Rebecca Parton, 24 met on social media while searching for their father David Riggs back in 2016. Since then, they’ve have formed a strong sisterly bond—with Rebecca even acting as bridesmaid at Lisa’s wedding last year.

After their meeting, they never relented in their efforts to locate their father, as they continued to search on Facebook. At last, just three weeks ago, they got a positive result: Lisa got a friend request from her dad – David. She realized he was their genuine dad after he was able to identify people in childhood family photographs.

Last week, 53-year-old David traveled down from his home in Blackpool, England to meet his daughters for the first time after 24 years.

They had an emotional reunion held at Lisa’s house in Nottingham, where David was also opportune to meet his grandchildren for the first time. They are now set to spend their first Christmas and New Year together as a complete family.

It was just lovely… there’s a lot of catching up to do—a lot of years to catch up on. The only way I can describe it, it’s a bit cheesy, but I suppose it is a Christmas miracle.

David, who was the former Blackpool Pier maintenance worker described the feeling “like he’d won the lottery” and feels like the world’s happiest man after he met his daughters.
