A boy’s 19-inch Afro was cut off to raise a sum of $38,000 to help kids suffering from cancer. Kieran Moïse has been nurturing his hair since he was a child. At 17, he had already grown 19-inch Afro. When Kieran received admission into the U.S Airforce Academy he knew he had no choice other than to cut his hair.
Instead of lamenting he decided to raise funds from cutting his hair. Children with Hair Loss, Michigan and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital both benefitted from Kieran’s action. Children with Hair Loss is a Michigan-based nonprofit that offers kids suffering from hair loss-free hair wigs.
I have been growing my hair out for many years with the goal of donating it to charity. Now that it is time to shave it, I would like to raise $1,000 per inch for St. Jude’s Hospital.Kieran

Kieran maintained that the length of his hair is 19 inches and $19,000 will help families suffering from cancer. He said that one of his friends died from cancer. Kieran felt this is a way he can give back to society. His hair will make good wigs for kids.
Patrick and Kelly Moïse, Kieran’s parents understand how much cutting off Kieran’s hair meant to him. According to Kelly, his son is kind-hearted. He maintained that his son had made a decision that if he did cut his hair, he would use the opportunity to help other people.
This is really impressive. Kieran hopes that his decision will inspire others to look for ways to help people in need.
Kieran wants people to know that if he can donate his hair, then anyone can. He’s hoping that everyone will be encouraged to go out there and commit their own small act of kindness.Kelly
