A Senegalese migrant has rescued a man at the expense of his own life. When an old man fell into the River Nervion in Bilbao in Spain, Fada Diouf did not hesitate to jump into the river to save him.
26-year-old Diouf immediately dived into the river kept the man afloat for 15 minutes. When he began to feel tired other migrants dived into the river to help him. Then a nearby boat arrived to rescue them all.
According to Diouf, he was with his friends when he noticed the man had lost his balance and fallen into the river.

A lot of people were standing there and recording, and nobody was able to help him. He was in a bad situation so I decided to save him, to help him, because I know how to swim I knew that I could do it.Diouf
Diouf who is a Senegalese arrived in Spain four years ago. He makes a living through dreadlocks weaving and other odd jobs. The video of how he rescued the old man has already gone viral and Change.org has promised to reward him with legal papers to stay in the country.
The basketball team in Bilbao where Diouf plays commended his courageous act and called him a great role model. This Senegalese migrant had acted courageously and had been able to save a life.
