Love’s Travel Stops partnership with Cargill will manufacture and market a green fuel. Love’s Travel Stops is an agricultural company that has made a lot of effort in achieving a renewable and sustainable diesel fuel. This fuel is environmentally-friendly as it is wholly made from waste products.
This new production plant now in Hastings, Nebraska, can produce nearly 80 million gallons of diesel fuel per year while also providing 50 new job opportunities.
Cargill will offer feedstock. This feedstock is the animal fat gotten during the processing of beef. The Love’s Family of Companies will market the fuel diesel in the United States once it is manufactured.
When considering the environmental benefits and performance enhancements of renewable diesel, the creation of Heartwell Renewables is a long-term win for not only the companies involved, but also for consumers and the environment.JP Fjeld-Hansen – One of the vice presidents at Love’s Family of Companies
With this production process, this renewable diesel fuel will look similar to petroleum diesel. It will also improve environmental performance significantly because of its decline in carbon intensity and emissions. Renewable diesel has been reported to have a faster combustion speed and can also result in lower vehicle maintenance.
