The oldest living gorilla, Ozzie celebrated his 60th birthday in style. This gorilla celebrated this great milestone on Sunday. The Zoo Atlanta caretakers have revealed that asides being the oldest male living gorilla in the world, according to records, he is also the oldest living male gorilla.
Therefore, it was right for this buy guy to get a great celebration on 20th June. One of the notable experiences he had was how he enjoyed an ice cake filled with frozen fruits. This also includes great and special love he received from the staff.

Zoo Atlanta gave a press release stating that this oldest living gorilla has over 20n descendants, which spans three generations. According to them, some of his descendants still line at Zoo Atlanta with him, while others saw transfers to other zoos.
Presently, he resides in a residence with female gorillas – 58-year-old Choomba, 45-year-old Machi, and 36-year-old Kuchi. This residence is configured specially for older gorillas. The zoo revealed that after gorillas pass age 40, they are deemed geriatric.
Due to disease, habitat loss, and hunting, gorillas of western lowland are seen as critically endangered.
