An Ohio boy and his dog have just been found after they were abandoned at a cemetery. The community and police department rallied around the little boy and his dog. On December 23, the boy who is identified as Tony was found at the Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
A witness revealed she sighted the Ohio boy and his dog running after a car as the vehicle sped away from the cemetery. Tony has been taken into protective services and put in a foster home in Medina County.
Investigators have been able to identify Tony’s parents. After a family member saw Tony’s picture shared by local media, he then contacted Tony’s father. Tony’s father immediately called the police.
According to Tony’s father, the child had been in the custody of his mother at the time he was abandoned. The police and Tony’s father went back to the cemetery to catch the dog.
People were touched by Tony’s Christmas story and because of this; many people bought Tony Christmas presents and dropped them off at the police department.
Centner shared a picture of the department’s lobby filled with wrapped presents. He wrote that on Christmas they would load Santa’s sleigh and deliver them to Tony.
All of you have renewed my faith and appreciation for the wonderful community we live in and that surrounds us. All of you are truly the best! God Bless all of you.Centner
