A Nigerian boy has just received a full scholarship after he danced ballet in the rain. He was given a scholarship to study at a reputable dance school in Manhattan.
The 11-year-old boy has been going for ballet lessons at the Leap of Dance Academy in Badagry, Lagos state. Watching his video, one could easily conclude that Anthony Mmesoma Madu is talented.

The artistic director at New York’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onasssis School of Dance, Cynthia Harvey also viewed the video and was amazed at the ballet skills displayed by Anthony. Then, she decided to offer the Nigerian boy a scholarship at a dance school in Manhattan.

In this video, Anthony displayed a raw talent, he was seen displaying some ballet skills. He made this graceful moves barefooted while it was raining. The video has now been viewed by over a million people.
The school which is well known for creating a good atmosphere for learning and is dedicated to their students’ successes organized internet access for Anthony so that he can participate in lessons from the academy.
Luck has not only smiled on Anthony, but it has also smiled on his dance teacher, Daniel Ajala Owoseni. His dance teacher has been included in the National Training Curriculum for instructors in the American school. Anthony has really made his teacher proud.
This Nigerian boy’s video has also resulted in a lot of donations to the dance school he trains in Nigeria. The founder of the school has maintained that the funds would be used to promote ballet in the country.
