A Meghalaya farmer presented maize to the COVID vaccination team as an act of kindness. This act of kindness has been commended by several people. People dwelling in rural areas are finding it hard to cope with the increase in coronavirus cases. People fear the possibility of the third wave.
There have been concerns about the COVID vaccine in these rural areas. Villagers have been avoiding the vaccines due to different perceptions about them. However, healthcare practitioners have tried to overcome the fear developing among people and advised them to stop being sacred.
A Meghalaya Farmer Chimagre Songittal, is one of those people that have encouraged people to take these vaccines. When healthcare workers went to Megahalaya’s village for the vaccination drive, Chinagre presented them with a bundle of maize from his farm.

Chief Minister Conrad Kongkal Sangma praised Chimagre deeds. Meghalaya’s act of kindness has been commended by netizens. According to the Ministry of Development of Northeast Region (DONER), all the states experienced a decline in the rate of test positivity.
Chimagre’s kind deeds can never be forgotten in these times. He has laid a good example to other Meghalaya villagers. In some areas, coronavirus cases have continued to decline while some areas are still experiencing an increase.
