Jose Hernandez, who was once a NASA astronaut, worked in the fields for most of his youthful days.

Regarding remote learning, so many children have not found things easy with remote learning, However Hernandez admonishes them all that concerning their future, the sky’s the limit. While he was young, Jose Hernandez picked vegetables and fruits with his family.

We spent nine months in California, three months in Mexico, but those nine months I went to three different school districts.

At age ten, Jose revealed his dream of becoming an astronaut, so his father gave him five key points to achieve success.

First thing is to set a goal. Then next, try to see how much work you need to put in to achieve this goal.

The third thing is you have to draw yourself a road map to know where you’re at to where you want to go. And then I asked what’s the fourth? He said you’ve got to get an education.

The path of this young man to realizing his dreams was a difficult one.

NASA rejected me not once, not twice, not three times but 11 times. It wasn’t until the 12th time that I got selected.

In 2009, Hernandez went on to blast off with the Space Shuttle Discovery crew.

It’s a ride that even Disneyland would be envious of because you go from zero to 17,500 miles an hour in eight and a half minutes.

For the two weeks trip, Jose worked on the International Space Station covering 5.4 million miles. He has circled the globe about 217 times, but remains focused on advising kids on how to realize their own dreams.

By next year, Netflix plans to start producing a film on the life of Jose Hernandez, as well as his journey into space.
