A navy sailor has just rescued 4 kittens from a burning ship after diving into choppy waters. When Thatsaphon Saii got the call, he immediately plunged into the seas to help these kittens from drowning.
All the members of his crew had gotten away from the inferno and picked up by a boat. To Saii’s surprise, they had left four kittens behind. The kittens were almost engulfed in the ship. This 23-year-old sailor swam almost 50 feet through the choppy seas before he could save the cats after that he kept them in an old rice sack.
The sailor returned with the kittens and paddled to the navy vessel. These baby cats had to be given freshwater as they were already dehydrated. Saii said he and his crew members were only supposed to secure the wreckage and examine any oil spills until they saw the kittens.
I immediately took off my shirt and put on a life jacket so I could jump into the sea. The flames were at the back of the boat but it was starting to sink, so I knew I had to be quick.Saii
Saii said he is very relieved that they could rescue the baby cats. These kittens would have died of dehydration or drowning. The four kittens are now safe and they are with the navy officials. Saii is indeed a hero and his compassion for this kitten can’t be underestimated.
