Good Samaritan Saves Woman From Sinking Vehicle In Miami-Dade Canal

A good samaritan saved a woman after she almost died in a sinking vehicle. When the good Samaritan known as Roberto Gonzalez, noticed there was a woman in a vehicle which had almost sunk, he immediately pulled the woman out of the vehicle. This incidence happened early Saturday morning.

There were two people in the car. The woman was calling 911 and told me she could not swim.

When Roberto realized that the woman who was trapped in the vehicle couldn’t swim, he dived into the Miami-Dade canal to rescue her. According to Roberto, there were two people in the car, but he only succeeded in pulling the woman out of the water. After he saved the woman, he looked back and it dawned on him that the vehicle had sunk completely and the man was left in the car.

Immediately Miami-Dade Fire Rescue heard about the incident,  its team arrived and searched for the man and was able to save him within 8 minutes.

Both the man and the woman were taken to a hospital. The man is presently in a critical condition. The woman’s condition is said to be stable. The car was also taken out of the canal, although the cause of the crash is yet to be known.

Gonzalez feels happy and  humbled that he saved a life. According to authorities, this incident happened around Okeechobee Road.
