In the California Mudslides that occurred three years ago, a cat that went missing, but this cat recently showed up after everyone thought she was dead.

In January 2018, patches went missing in when a mudslide destroyed her owners’ home. Josie Gower didn’t make it alive as well as 22 residents of Santa Barbara. However, Gower’s partner, Norm Borgatello survived the mudslide.

People believed Patches didn’t survive the mudslides as she went missing after the incident.  However, to everyone’s surprise, Patches was found three years later.

After the California mudslides, Patches was wandering about until someone took her the Animal Shelter Assistance Program. Thanks to the microchip Patches had on her body, while Gower was alive, she had registered the microship in her name. With this, the shelter staff could locate Gower’s daughter, who then informed Borgatello about Patches’ miraculous return.

Immediately Patches saw Borgatello, she recognized him and was very happy to reunite with her old time family. Gower’s daughter, Haigh, says that seeingPatches again just before the three-year anniversary of her mother’s death felt like a message from heaven.

I think it just warms the heart a bit. I know my mom would be really happy.

Haigh

Patches is so happy to have these people back in her life. The stray cat couldn’t be happier than this. It was such a joyful reunion for Borgatello and Patches.
