An Arkansas doctor has cleared the debt of nearly 200 of his patients with cancer. Dr. Omar Atiq founded the Arkansas Cancer Institute in Pine Bluff in 1991.
The Arkansas Cancer Clinic sent out a holiday greeting to all of its cancer patients on Monday. The note stated that the clinic was proud to serve its cancer patients.
The Arkansas Cancer Clinic was proud to serve you as a patient. The clinic will be closing its practice after serving the community for more than 29 years and it has decided to let go of all balances the patients owed the clinic.
According to the Arkansas doctor, this year has been very challenging and he is so happy to help his patients financially.

Dr. Atiq has treated several cancer patients as an oncologist in the Pine Bluff community for the past decades; however, this holiday gift was his first. He said the bills were nearly $650,000 and now he has cleared them off.

The doctor hopes this act will keep people’s hope alive. He is also glad he was could help his patients financially. The doctor revealed that the clinic partnered with a billing company to pay the debt and ensure no patient would face any kind of financial repercussions.
