Aptera Motors revealed that it already has 7,000 reservations FOR its latest electric vehicle. This vehicle is said to cost about $250,000. The electric trike features three wheels and 34-square feet of solar cells that produce electricity to run the car daily.

This Aptera solar-powered car looks like a combination of the Batmobile and an F-1 car. The Batmobile is the first solar-powered car to be produced massively in the world. Drivers can plug in this vehicle for nighttime and rainy days.

It requires you to just charge it for 15 minutes before driving 150 miles. Even when you park this car in the sun for at least a day, it can offer 40 miles of range on its own, this is equivalent to refilling your car with two gallons of fuel.

Aptera moved into a design facility and new production in San Diego, California as part of the plan to make the car available in the market at the end of 2021. The Aptera solar trike is a combination of different unique technologies.

Despite the way it looks like Lamborghini or Pagani Zonda, its aerodynamic body, dolphin-like undercarriage, and special backside all make it reduce drag. Aptera did pay attention to the drag and energy use of this vehicle. However, it’s this efficiency that makes solar power be a useful feature for running a car.

The Aptera features four parts to the body rather than featuring 200-300 parts and this makes it easier to assemble, build, and track. The vehicle is designed with composite materials like aluminum, fiberglass, and carbon. The panel is made as 3D printed, this helps to reduce the production and costs of emission.
