A 13-year-old Texas boy turned secret Santa for 61 homeless children, after he gave them Christmas presents.
Through GoFundMe and the help of social media, Jaxson Turner was able to raise $5,900 to supply The Samaritan Inn kids with different gifts such as new coats, sneakers, socks, a hot meal, and toys to ensure they enjoy the holidays.
I think we need to help them because so many families during this pandemic are losing their jobs or their houses and moms are already worrying about being homeless. Why should they worry about Christmas for their children too.Jaxson
This act by the 13-year-old Texas boy was the third, in which he held the Christmas event for the McKinney shelter in Texas, under N2Y2C – Never Too Young To Care, which is his nonprofit organization.
After Jaxson started accepting donations from 1st October, in December, he decided to organize a big giveaway party, where he served Pizza Hut, Chick-fil-A, chicken nuggets, macaroni, and cookies.
Jaxson revealed that that night “Some people were crying tears.” N2Y2C was established by Jaxson on his birthday, three years ago.
My mom kept asking over and over what I wanted to do for my birthday and that’s when I decided I wanted to feed the homeless. I would always see homeless families on the street asking for food and I thought no family should go without an Easter dinner meal.Jaxson
Asides the Christmas and Easter events that happen yearly, N2Y2C also organizes an awareness event on domestic violence every year, donating socks, toilet paper, laundry detergent, as well as monetary assistance to a domestic violence organization.
Another event they organize is a back to school event, where they raise funds for school supplies, children haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies.
