45-year-old Midwestern dad has broken a record after completing 1.5 million pushups. The father of three didn’t stop doing 3,000 pushups in a marathon competition, he performed 5,000 more times. With this, he was able to break a new world record for performing 1.5 million pushups in a single year.
Nate Carroll was inspired to carry out this mission with the hope to teach his children what perseverance was all about.

Asides from teaching his children about perseverance, Carroll wanted to raise money for a cause he believed in. He wanted to raise funds and donate them to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Tunnel to Tower Foundation is a charity organization committed to helping the families of fallen first responders.

Carroll who had a full-time job ensured he completed his thousands of push-ups every day. He maintained that it wasn’t an easy thing to do, but he was determined. He did it at home, at work, and any other place.

While he was carrying out his pushup everyday, Carroll made sure he documented his achievements in a log book and also had a time-lapse video. Carroll has taught people what dedication and fortitude can help someone to achieve.
